2025 goals: growing stronger

Cultivating good money habits often goes hand-in-hand with building discipline in other areas of life—like fitness. They both require consistency and discipline. Which brings me to today’s post where I want to share my recent favourite workouts.

Jumping right in!

#1 Move with Nicole’s 30 Minutes Weighted Pilates

Past few years was a lot of videos from Pamela Reif and Growngananas. Occasionally AllBlanc.

Adding on to my favorite this year is this video by Move with Nicole. I used to think her yoga ones are not my thing but love this because it’s quite brutal. I think weighted Pilates is my thing this year.

#2 RedNote’s Traditional Chinese Fitness

Another recent one I found from XHS, they call it “traditional workout”. I think it’s Tai Chi or Qi Gong. It makes great lazy day or morning workout. Wakes you up and it gets sweaty too! I tried looking for the exact workout on YouTube but don’t see it tho this one is quite similar.

If you have XHS or RedNote, you can look for this account for the follow along the 15 minutes workout post. The moves are intermediate but goodness, it makes me sweat so much!

#3 AFit’s Lose 1kg in 35 minutes HIIT workout

Look up “Afit 1kg HIIT workout” and you’d find this video. I think the title is such a clickbait and I don’t think I’ve done it consistently enough to feel a 1kg weight loss LOL. But her workout feels good afterwards and is something you’d go to if you want lotsa burpees. The alternative is Le Serrafim’s famous 7 types of moves workout which also has tons of burpees.

#4 April Han’s Slim Butt/Thigh/Calves in 14 days

The fourth workout I want to introduce describes itself as a slim thighs workout. I don’t think I’ve got slim thighs but discovered that it works wonders on flat feet and increasing strength of legs.

How did I find out? One time I got a broken arch from wearing terrible walking shoes on a holiday. That made the base of my foot fall flat and it hurts so bad for weeks!

Then I did this workout TWICE in a week and wahlah~ recovered before my medical appointment which I no longer needed. I think this would be great for older people with weak legs too, I can totally feel more stable after that.

#5 Pamela Reif 30 minutes stretch

Almost once every week or whenever I feel very sore I’d do Pamela Reif 30 minutes stretch. Hands down the most effective stretch I have tried. Also works wonders for a good night sleep!

#6 Rachel Gulotta Fitness’ Do these yoga stretches to stop feeling sore

Another fun stretch routine I like to alternate is this by Rachel. I think she does a great job at explaining how to perform the moves correctly.

Concluding this post

With so many great workout vids and more to discover, I find it unnecessary to drag myself to the gym even tho I am tempted to get a personal trainer. Just to see what I can do better. I'm contemplating on this and I think it'll take awhile. Like how I'm sitting on getting a new workout mat (I accidentally bought a lousy one).

Any recommendations of some good workout videos that does wonders?
